¾ pounds butter
8 eggs
¼ tsp salt
1 tsp rum flavoring
2-1/2 cups flour
1 tsp almond flavoring
2-1/4 cups sugar
1 pound black walnuts
Cream shortening and sugar well. Add eggs one at a time mixing well after each egg. Add flour a little at a time mixing well but do not over beat. Add walnuts and flavoring. Bake in a well greased stem pan at 350º for 1-1/2 hours.
