Velvet Crumb Cake

Beat 1-1/3 cup Bisquick, ¾ cup sugar, 3 Tbs shortening, 1 egg and 1/3 cup milk for one minute.  Stir in 1/3 cup milk, 1 tsp vanilla and beat for ½ minute.  Bake at 350º in 8x8” pan for 30 minutes.

Broiled topping:  mix 3 Tbs melted butter, 1/3 cup brown sugar, 2 Tbs cream, ½ cup coconut and ¼ cup nuts.  Spread over baked cake.  Place about 3” under broiler (low heat) for 3-5 minutes.
