Orange Frosting

1/3 cup shortening                                        
3-1/2 cups confectioner’s sugar, sifted
2 Tbs corn syrup                                          
1 Tbs grated orange peel
¼ tsp salt                                                      
¼ cup orange juice

Combine shortening, corn syrup, salt, 1 cup confectioner’s sugar and orange peel.  Add remaining sugar and orange juice alternately, mixing until smooth and creamy.  Add more sugar to thicken or juice to thin frosting, as required, until of spreading consistency.
