Raisin Nut Spice Cake

2-1/3 cups flour                                           
¾ tsp cloves
1 cup sugar                                                 
1 cup packed brown sugar
1 tsp soda                                                    
2/3 cup shortening
1 tsp salt                                                      
1 cup buttermilk
1-1/2 tsp cinnamon                                      
3 eggs
¾ tsp nutmeg                                               
½ cup chopped nuts
½ cup raisins

Grease and flour two 9” round pans.  Bake at 350º for 45 minutes.
