Pound Cake (Buttermilk)

1 cup butter                                                    
½ tsp baking powder
2 cups sugar                                                  
¼ tsp salt
4 eggs                                                            
1 cup buttermilk
3 cups flour                                                    
1 tsp vanilla
½ tsp baking soda                                         
1 tsp lemon

Bake at 325º for 1 hour.

Glaze:  Boil 2 Tbs buttermilk, ¼ cup sugar, 2 Tbs butter, ¾ tsp cornstarch and 1/8 tsp baking soda.  Cool and add vanilla.
